Summer Camp 2016 - Update

BSA Troop 67: Are you ready for Summer Camp? It's almost here...  Campers meet at the church parking lot a 1PM, Sunday, June 12th in Uniform. Make sure to eat lunch before, if you bring a bike you'll need a bike helmet. Physicals are required for camp, get them to Mr. Crook as soon as  you can or upon departure.

De Soto Area Council Summer Camp - June 12 - June 18, 2016 (Registration Open)


DeSoto Boys Scout Summer Camp 2016, Registration is open.

DeSoto Summer Camp 2016 is June 12-June 18, 2016: Camp Fee is $225 per Scout *(Some programs require additional materials and supplies at additional cost, Basketry +$12, Leatherwork +$10, Wood Carving +$8, Archery Arrow Kit +$5 ea., Indian Lore Kit +$15 ea.). Camp Fee is payable starting now (Contact Mr. Crook or Ms. Renee to make payment arrangements and to signup). Scouts with a balance in their personal Popcorn account may use all or part of their balance to offset the cost of camp, see Ms. Renee to check your balances. A current Medical Form is required for Summer Camp, forms are available online and may be downloaded by following the sidebar menu link "Medical Form (Link)".  
**Hardship Scholarships may be available from the Council if you qualify, which will reduce the standard camp fee.  See Ms. Rene for an application form and to see if you qualify.

Troop 67 Summer Camp - UPDATE

We will leave from the FUMC parking lot on Sunday, June 12th. All scouts need to be at the church no later than 1 p.m. to load up. If you have your physical form completed, you may turn it in at any time to Mr. Crook. **ALL PHYSICAL MUST BE TURNED IN BY SUNDAY JUNE 12th**. If you haven't paid for summer camp, please get it to Mr. Crook at Bones Auto Parts ASAP. You must wear full uniform for travel to Camp on Sunday, June 12th, and at all evening meals during the week at Camp.

You may bring a bike to summer camp but your must wear a helmet. We will not meet next Monday, May 30th (Memorial Day). Our next meeting is Monday, June 6th. This is the Monday before we leave for camp. Any final discussions, money, or physicals need to be brought on the June 6th meeting date.

4 State Scout-o-Rama - Saturday, April 2, 2016

Update: Cost for Scout-O-Rama for Saturday will be $45, that includes commemorative hex patch, pocket patch, Caddo strip, and 5 council strips for trade. Picnic lunch, evening meal and travel cost. T-Shirts will be $15 extra. You may bring money for on-your-own concessions and souvenirs if you chose.

Scouts and Scouters please confirm if you are going to Scout-o-Rama this Saturday by 8pm Tuesday, March 29 by calling Mr. Crook. The van will leave the parking lot at 7AM Saturday, Scouts dress in full class A uniform. Eat breakfast before the trip, Picnic lunch at the park. We will advise on final cost soon.

Sylamore Creek 23 Mile Spring Trek (March 18-21, 2016)

BSA Troop 67 - Sylamore Creek 23 Mile Spring Trek - Friday, March 18 - Monday, March 21. Scouts meet at the church at 4PM Friday afternoon dressed for travel in Class A's, bring a bag meal for the trip up, Backpacks and gear packed for 3 'cool' nights on the trail, water bottles, extra socks, save room in the pack for trail meals and tent share. There is a slight chance of rain Friday, be prepared. Don't forget that extra bag for items not going on the trail, w/extra dry outfit. Cash for incidentals and an on the road meal Monday. #bsatroop67 #bsamonticelloar

Pack 69 Webelos II Crossover Ceremony is tonight (Monday, February 29) at the end of the Blue and Gold Banquet. The Blue and Gold Banquet begins at 6PM at FUMC. This banquet recognizes the De Soto Area Council Eagle Scout Class of 2015, District Awards of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. Winter Camp, January 15-17, 2016

DeSoto Area Council's Winter Camp is January 15-17, 2016. The fee is $50/camper, $20/adult. T-Shirts are an additional $12 if you want one, please specify when registering. Listed here are the Merit badges, and other activities being offered during Winter Camp. Registration and fees are due at our Monday, January 4th Troop meeting, Registration deadline is at our Monday, January 11th meeting. We will meet at the church parking lot Friday afternoon, January 15th at 4:00PM for departure. Evening meal will be provided at camp. Remember to pack your cold weather camping gear and clothing, its going to be cold at night.
